EUUN silver jubilee DIMAPUR: Educated Unemployed Union of Nagaland (EUUN) would be celebrating its silver jubilee on December 12 at 10 am at Red Cross conference hall, Kohima. Further, for the forth coming jubilee celebration the union has convened an emergency meeting on November 30 at 10 am at its head office, opposite Census office, H.S. Road Rokabozou, Kohima. Mass social work in Phek DIMAPUR: In view of the Christmas season and forth-coming Road Show-cum-Sukrenye festival, Phek Town Council (PTC) will be organizing a mass social work on December 5. In this regard, all departments within Phek headquarter and general public have been requested to co-operate for general welfare of all. PTC chairperson, Kupota Khesoh further informed all residents of Phek town as well as travelers not to litter and throw trash randomly except in dustbins and way-side waste bins. Residents have also been directed to maintain two compost pits for dumping bio-degradable and other waste respectively. WACU silver jubilee DIMAPUR: Western Angami Catholic Union (WACU) would celebrate its completion of 25 years on December 6 at Mezoma village. Kohima Diocese vicar general, Rev. Fr. Neisalhou Carolus Kuotsu will be main celebrant of the Jubilee Eucharist at 9am while parish priest Khonoma Parish SFX, Rev. Fr. Michael Cruz will inaugurate the Jubilee programme. School Education joint director, Vikepelhou Lucas Meyase will be main speaker in the second session of the programme. The celebration is being hosted by Mezoma Catholic community. Union has requested all Catholic members of Western Angami Region, well wishers and church leaders to pray and participate for the Jubilee celebration. Survey of regd. societies in Phek DIMAPUR: District Statistical Office (DSO) Phek officer in-charge, V.S Tharmi has informed that second phase survey of all registered societies under home/education department from 1972-2008 is being conducted by DSO (Stat) in all colonies/villages under Phek district as per directive given by central Ministry of statistical and programme Implementation Central Statistical Organisation National Account Division. All registered societies who have not yet been reported to DSO office, especially Chozuba sub-division have been requested to report to DSO, statistic office Phek within November 27 to December 10. TCSU golden jubilee DIMAPUR: Totok Chingnyu Students’ Union (TCSU) would celebrate its Golden Jubilee (1959-2009) from December 18-20 under the theme “Knowledge is Power”. State CLP leader and 46 A/C MLA, N. Chingwang will grace the celebration as chief guest, while Rev. T. W. Yamyap Bursar from ETC Jorhat will be main speaker. A press release by jubilee planning board chairman, P. Angtong Konyak informed all citizens of Totok Chingnyu village residing outside of Mon to reach the village by December 14. Further, five delegates from each village within Mon district have been requested to attend the programme. Two history books on 50 years Students’ Jubilee and Origin of Totoks will also be released during the celebration. Survey of regd. societies in Wokha DIMAPUR: District statistical officer Wokha, has informed that the department would be conducting survey for all societies, clubs, associations, SHGs and institutions in Wokha registered under education, home department. All registered bodies have been informed to report to the district statistical officer Wokha Lithungo Lotha in the urban areas and to villages’ council chairman in the respective villages for compilation of works. Orientation for APB youth conference DIMAPUR: Orientation program for all participants who have registered to participate in forthcoming 15th Asia Pacific Baptist Youth Conference, Hong Kong from December 27 to 30 would be held on December 10, 11 am at NBCC Conference Hall. All participants representing Nagaland Baptist Church Council have been informed to attend the program for prayer and necessary information for the journey. UKK planning board DIMAPUR: Meeting of planning board members of Usutomi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (UKK) has been convened on December 1 at the residence of SDO Yeqhevi Shohe, Full Nagarjan Dimapur at 10am. DDAPU silver jubilee DIMAPUR: Dimapur District Ao Pensioners’ Union (DDAPU) will celebrate its silver jubilee on December 4 at DABA Church, Duncan Dimapur. All pensioners have been requested to attend the function along with their spouses.
