3 new sub-centres inaugurated under Zunheboto district

A new sub-centre building at Sukomi village under Zunheboto district was inaugurated on November 19 by Dr K. Assumi, additional director, department of health and family welfare, who was also the chief guest, at a brief inaugural function held at the sub centre building premises. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest gave an exhaustive explanation on the concept of communitization with reference to the health sector. Pointing out that the new building was now the property of the community, he asked them to maintain it properly and utilize the facilities to the optimum. He also called upon the staff posted at the sub-centre to be sincere and regular and carry out their duties with dedication and also highlighted the role of the community in creating favourable conditions for the staffs to stay at their posting places. Later, on the same day, a new sub centre building at Asukhomi village was inaugurated by Dr. Viheshe Yepthomi, chief medical officer Zunheboto, at an impressive function organized by the Asukhomi villagers. Lauding the villagers on the quality workmanship and ideal location of the newly constructed building, the CMO, Dr. Viheshe exhorted the villagers to consider the building as their own and improvise upon the facilities already provided by the government. He also asked the staff posted at the sub centre to work with sincerity and dedication in providing health care to the community. On November 20, Dr.K.Assumi, additional director, dept of health and family welfare inaugurated a new Sub Centre building at Kivikhu Village under Satakha Block of Zunheboto district. An inaugural function was held at the sub centre building premises which was chaired by the VCM. Welcome speech was delivered by the Head GB followed by the unveiling of the monolith by the Chief Guest. Mentioning that Kivikhu village was the last Sumi village lying in the remotest border area of Zunheboto and Phek districts, the chief guest hoped that the new sub-centre building would serve as a hub of healthcare delivery in the area. He also assured the villagers to look into the various grievances aired by them and asked the staff posted at the sub centre to be regular in their duty. The function concluded with the vote of thanks, delivered by the compounder of the Sub-centre. The chief guest was accompanied by his lady wife, Chief Medical Officer, Zunheboto Dr. Viheshe Yepthomi, Media Officer, P. Renthungo Odyuo and Zuhoto LDA CMO’s Estt.
