KV Sewak celebrates National Library Week

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Project Sewak, Dimapur celebrated National Library Week from November 14 to 20. The library organised a number of competitions for students of class 1 to 12 including literary quiz, tale with a twist, library poster design, book cover design, colouring competition and write to the librarian. The library also organised a book donation campaign and received more than 100 books from teachers and students. According to the principal of school, C. Valmiki Kendriya Vidyalaya Library is the first school library in India to host its own website ( offering online access to the books catalogue for the students along with many services and information related to various national and international competitions, higher education alerts, online quizzes and book reviews by the students. On his recent visit, K.J Subba, assistant commissioner, KVS Silchar Region commented that the library was the first fully automated library in Silchar region.
