Reacting over the press declaration issued by KNCA and AIPWA which accused some senior journalists of the district of having nexus with illegal women trade, leading reporters of Karb Anglong, on sunday aired their resentment over such comments of the two women body and termed the same as “unfortunate”. In an emergency meeting conducted on Sunday at the office of “Ajir Parahidoot” under the chairmanship of veteran journalist Mukul Ch. Baruah, the journalists univocally stated that the women organizations should have reserved their opinions and not issue inflammatory press statements since the matter is under the provisions of Diphu Court and Judicial investigations are in the process. The reporters made it clear that those found guilty should get punishment under the provisions of law and further cautions on any infringement by KNCA and AIPWA which might create controversy and hindrance in carrying out the process of trial in the court.
