Quami Ekta Week (National Integration Week) was observed here in Mon on November 23 at DC’s Conference Hall, Mon. According to an official bulletin, deputy commissioner, Mon Dinesh Kumar, IAS administered an oath to the heads of departments and officers and also presented a brief introduction about observing the National Integration Week.
Phek: Phek observed National Integration Week at Phek DPDB conference hall on November 25 with O. Issac Jamir ADC, Phek as speaker of the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, he said National Integration Week was observed to create awareness among the masses in order to bring unity, integrity and secular fibre of the country.
He also said, communalism, tribalism and religion were always divisive forces and biggest threat to the unity and integrity of the country, He called upon people to change their mind set and to understand the situation prevailing in different part of the country so as to bring friendship, mutual understanding and respect one another. He also administered National Integration pledge which was followed by all attendees. The programme was attended by head of offices, DBs and DCs office staff and well-wishers.
