The seven day state level National Integration Camp (NIC) was held from November 18 to 24 at Youth Hostel Mizoram University , organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Mizoram .
C. Vulluaia Advocate and journalist, the first District Youth Coordinator of NYKS Mizoram was the chief guest on the inaugural function and Zodintluanga, minister for sports and youth affairs Mizoram was the guest of honour in the closing function.
Altogether 100 participants from five different states of the country including Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura and the host Mizoram took part in the camp.
Nagaland team was represented by 18 youths from Venture Wings Society, Jakhama in collaboration with NYKS, Kohima. The team participated in various seminars and activities such as life skills, youth and HIV and AIDS, leadership, awareness in the history of India, environmental awareness, Yoga, entrepreneurship, sightseeing, planting of tree saplings and interaction with governor of Mizoram.
Keduovito Kirha, Pukil KIntso and Ketosenu We-o participated in the quiz competition and bagged the 2nd position while Avizo Titus Richa led the cultural troupe in performing the Phita(Festival dance) during the cultural presentation.
Meanwhile the Venture Wings Society, Jakhama has expressed gratitude to the NYS Kohima zone especially John Makhabo, District Youth Coordinator (DYC) and Ruokuovikho Chale for providing the opportunity of exposure and learning.
The society also expressed gratitude to the Principal St. Joseph’s college Jakhama for granting leave for three students for the NIC and Peleneizo Joseph Chadi (NSV) for his efforts and initiatives.
