ENSF in a release by its vice president Likhumse Sangtam and general secretary Changsang Soted questioned the credibility of the additional director, tourism for “feigning ignorance” of the application submitted by ENSF to the tourism department in the first week of October’09.
The federation said it submitted an application to the director, tourism duly endorsed by the responsible parliamentary secretary and redirected to the additional director.
The federation said the attitude and ignorance of the director, tourism director, tourism towards the federation was considered as an “insult and under-estimation” to six tribes.
Eastern Naga Students’ Federation further clarified that it did not seek for sponsorship from the department but only requested for assistance if there was any provision and regretted the claim of the director, art and culture stating that there was provision only for NSF being the mother of all students’ organization in the state.
Stating that the question of “concern or sympathy” sought by ENSF for Eastern Nagaland cultural festival as stated by the department was “unreasonable and baseless”, the ENSF said such a “blatant statement” in press without proper thought should be restrained for better understanding.
