KEH condemns rape and murder attempt DIMAPUR: Kyong Eloe Hoho (KEH) has condemned the rape and murder attempt on T. Rathunglo Humtsoe at Vungochu colony on November 19 allegedly by havildar Longshithung Yanthan of 7th battalion NAP Wokha from Lakhuti village. In a release Kyong Eloe Hoho, general secretary, Amongi Tsanglao has condemned the barbaric act in strongest term and urged the authority to award befitting punishment to the culprit. DPN clan expresses resentment DIMAPUR: Pangti Ngullie clan of Dimapur has expressed its resentment over the alleged murder attempt on O. Mozamo Ngullie by an unruly mob allegedly led by Er. Senkathung Jami at DHEP office Doyang on November 26. A joint press statement by K.K. Ngullie and K. Khocheo Ngullie condemned the heinous crime committed on an unarmed and innocent public leader without any valid reason. KWC releases Christmas video album DIMAPUR: Kids Worship Centre (KWC) released its first ever Christmas video album with the prayer support from I. Wati Jamir, associate pastor DABA. According to a press note, all artists were of 12 years of age and the CDs would be available at OM book store. OM Dimapur mega Bible quiz DIMAPUR: A special programme was held at Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA), Duncan to give away the certificates to the winners and participants of the Bible quiz which was conducted from September 14 to 26. Rev. N. Tzudir gave away certificates to all the winners as well as to the participants and also OM Dimapur gave away Christian books to the children who represented their local churches by participating in the quiz. Further, a special number was presented by Leah Longchar, Kids Worship Centre (KWC); the programme was chaired by Susan Lotha followed by opening prayer by Rev. Amos Humtsoe, associate director NMM; offertory prayer by I Wati Jamir, associate pastor DABA and Robert Longkumer, director KWC was the speaker. ZLPO executive meeting held DIMAPUR: Zeliang people’s organization held its executive meeting on November 27 at the residence of Sibeule Hegui, advisor ZLPO. Azu Newmai, ex-minister was approved by executive members to take charge as President ZLPO while new office bearers were selected for a term of 4 years. A press release issued by general secretary, ZLPO Haigam Kauring, stated that the meeting also decided to convene general session during March/April next year. Besides various agendas discussed at the meeting the question of ZLPO as defunct organization discussed in the last Peren District planning board meeting was strongly condemned and objected to. Mon VDB association new office bearers DIMAPUR: Mon VDB association during its general meeting elected a new team of office bearers for a term of 3 years led by M. Wangpai Wangsha, president, N. Lemkai, vice president, H. Shamlau, general secretary, T. Nokchei, assistant general secretary, W. Wangshok, advisor and N. Kumet, treasurer-cum-caretaker. Meanwhile, the Mon VDB association has requested all VDBs, village council and officers under Mon district to cooperate and support the new team. It further called upon the rural community to contact the association in case of any grievances.
