Tube well inaugurated at DBHSS, Wokha

Parliamentary Secretary for Geology and Mining Irrigation & Flood Control Y. Patton commissioned a tube well at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School at Wokha in the presence of agriculture minister Dr. Chumben Murry and DC Wokha Wepretso Mero on November 6. Donating the tube well to staff, faculty and students of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Wokha he expressed hope that tube well could be used with care for the welfare of the school. Earlier in the programme, Director Geology & Mining H.K. Chishi in his introductory speech stated that department of Geology and Mining had been constructing tube wells in the district of Kohima, Dimapur and Wokha in the 1st phase. The tube well at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Wokha was the 15th tube well undertaken by the department which had a capacity of discharging of 3600 ltrs per hour and has a depth of 76.79 mtrs fitted with PVC pipe. Further he called upon the staff to strictly follow the guidelines and norms which was handed over by the minister for Agriculture Dr. Chumben Murry to ensure longevity of the tube well. The programme was chaired by additional director geology and mining E. Kithan while Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Father Ranjit gave the invocation prayer. Vote of thanks was delivered by Principal Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Rev. Father George.
