Azo awarded ‘Workaholic minister’

: State Health and Family Welfare Minister Kuzholuzo Nienuo and principal Sao Chang College, Tuensang I.Alempokba along with three others from the country were awarded prestigious award for ‘Workaholic Minister’ award and ‘Higher Educational Development (Head)” award respectively for the year 2009 by Confederation of Indian University recently. The award was presented by Union Minister for State for Water Resources, Vincent H. Pala in the presence of several Ambassadors and High Commissioners and other dignitaries of different countries during the 2nd annual Day of the Global Warming Reduction Centre held at the India International Centre, New Delhi on October 3. Other three awardees include VC of IGNOU Prof. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai who was awarded with the ‘Life time achievement’award and two other college principals from New Delhi and Chennai respectively who were also awarded with ‘Higher Educational Development (Head)’ award. Revealing this to the media persons at his official residence, Azo said he did not deserve the award as there was many other deserving candidates for the award. I.Alempokba, said the award came as a surprise for him and was not aware of it until he reached Delhi to attend the programme.
