Army doctors spread awareness on organ donation

Eight army medical corps officers comprising doctors of various specialties conducted a ‘Motorcycle Drive’ to spread awareness about ‘Organ’ donation to general populace with the theme ‘Organ donation- A gift of life’ to commemorate the occasion of the 10th Reunion of the Army Medical Corps. According to a defence release, the expedition was flagged off from RMS on Friday by Brig N. Rathore of HQ 3 Corps for its next leg to Guwahati after having covered almost 4000 km. Earlier, the team was flagged off from New Delhi on October 22 and would be covering a circuit over the states of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Assam and Bihar. The team would be finally received by the Commandant of the AMC Centre and School at Lucknow. The expedition was given a warm send off by the medical fraternity of RMS on their return leg of their arduous and noble mission of spreading awareness to the masses.
