Merhülietsa High School, Kohima (MHSK), celebrated Parents Day on October 31 with school proprietor and chairman Thia Jamir as chief guest. Chief guest called upon parents to build up team spirit to help teachers in educating the children in the best possible ways.
Asserting that without unity there could be no development in any society, he said parents should not depend on school teachers alone but educate children at home. He urged the teacher to possess all leadership qualities, to be a guide, mender, philosopher and a friend. Earlier the function began with an invocation prayer by A Chuba Jamir, associate pastor, KABA, welcome address was delivered by Adaphro Pfozhe, headmistress, Welcome song, by the school choir, various musical dramas, dances and choreography’s were performed by the students.
Certificates and medals were also presented to winners in various sports discipline during the school’s annual sports meet.
