Campaign on HIV and AIDS held

Advocacy Campaign on HIV and AIDS with stakeholders was held at Mangolemba Town Hall organised by NNP+ and supported by LFA-UNAIDS on November 6. Guest speakers were Imkong MLA and Mayangsashi PS to Er. Saku, Parliamentary Secretary. Both guests spoke on the theme ‘Together we can’. They informed about the formation and launching of Legislatures Forum on AIDS in Nagaland. The speakers called upon people for coordination and to strengthen existing services and facilities and mobilize resources from within the state to render it sustainable and affordable. A brief concept on ‘basic information on HIV and AIDS a reality’ was presented by resources persons Kips Anar, Longyim Tzudir and Lanu Aier. The programme was chaired by Imchawati Managing Director, Care & Support Society Mokokchung, invocation was proposed by Rev. Lima Pastor Mangolemba Town Baptist Church, welcome address by ADC Managolemba, Temsu Longkumer, short speech by Dr. Amenla MO CHC Managolemba, vote of thanks by Bendangtoshi and benediction by Rongsensashi. The stakeholders from different villages, government departments, civil societies, NGOs, and student communities participated in the meeting.
