Condemnation on Nov 7 incident DIMAPUR: CM Chang, NPF, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK), GB’s Union Dimapur, Sumi community Kushiabill, Littami Union Dimapur (LUD), Wokha Town Council (WTC), Highway Area Sumi Students’ Union (HASSU) has condemned the life attempt bid on chairman of Dimapur Municipal Council, Khekaho Assumi on November 7 by some unidentified gunmen. While wishing Khekaho a speedy recovery the unions and individuals have appealed to the law enforcing agencies to book the culprits at the earliest. IRCSN meet KOHIMA: The 23rd annual general meeting of Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch (IRCSN) has been convened on November 11, 11 a.m at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan Kohima. Nikhil Kumar, state governor and president IRCSN will deliver the presidential address, and Neiphiu Rio, state Chief Minister will deliver the vice presidential address and Povotso Lohe, president IRCSN will chair the function. All responsible have been requested to attend the function. Meanwhile, the induction ceremony of governor of Nagaland, Nikhil Kumar as chief patron, Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides (NBSG) would be held on November 10, 11am at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima. YAN notifies shopkeepers DIMAPUR: Youth Association Nagaland (YAN) has notified the shopkeepers not to sell pan, cigarettes, tobacco and other intoxicating substances within 100 meters of any educational institutions in Dimapur. The association has given November 20 as the dateline to all the responsible shopkeepers to abide the notice of the association. YAN general secretary, H. Athrongba Sangtam stated that the association members along with the administration would conduct checking and stringent action will be initiated against those persons violating the notice of the association. STK prayer programme DIMAPUR: Suruhuto Tokukujo Kuqhakulu (STK) annual prayer and fasting programme for thanks giving would be held on November 11 from at 7to 8am at PWD, Chandmari, Porterlane Fellowship (SBCK), Kohima. All STKK members have been requested to attend the prayer meeting. Kohima Science College Alumni Day DIMAPUR: Kohima Science College Jotsoma alumni day would be held on November 28. Highlights of the day included meeting of the alumni, flower arrangements, painting, photography, literary contests and game activities followed by buffet and concert. The alumni forum, principal, faculty and staff of the college have invited all its alumni to the occasion.
