The new office of the Surface Transport Eco & Environment Society (STEES), Kohima, was formally inaugurated by S.Manglen Singh, President, All Manipur Road Transport Drivers and Motor Workers Union (AMRTD&MWU) at Jakhama recently.
In his brief address, Manglen Singh who was the chief guest on the occasion appealed the people of Nagaland to help each others as a good neighbouring state.
Earlier, K.L. Setuo Angami, Advisor STEES in his welcome addressed welcomed the chief guest. He also informed that STEES was formed with an aimed to help road transporters in this part of the country during times of difficulties and also in fighting for their rights, highlight the important role the transporters play in our day to day life and at the same time educate the transporter on their role and responsibilities and consequences of their negligence.
While seeking suggestions and guidance particularly from AMRTD&MWU for better understanding and working together, he also assured the best possible services.
The programme which was chaired by Vipin Sophie began with invoking God’s blessing by Vitsoshiho Tetso, VDB Secretary, Jakhama Village Council.
