Peace caravan held at Wokha

Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) organized a Peace Rally at Wokha on November 12. The peace caravan would culminate on November 13. Speaking at the rally, sub-divisional officer (C) headquarters Wokha Anthony Ngullie while addressing the gathering said without peace there would be no development. He appealed to all section of people to listen to the voice of the people and extend their cooperation in order to bring about peace in the land. Pastor Hotokhu P. Zhimomi member NBCC peace affairs who also spoke at the rally stressed on unity to bring about peace and reconciliation and appealed the Nagas to uphold the spirit of oneness. Short speeches were also delivered by chairman WTC, chairperson Kyong Eloe Hoho, president Kyong Students Union, president GBs and DBs. According to an official bulletin, other highlights of the function included presentation of special number by student of Witter Bible College (KBES) and Wokha village youth. The function was chaired by Rev. Y. Pankathung Tsopoe Development Secretary KBES, Vankhosung, invocation prayer by Rev. Nyan Lotha Associate Pastor Wokha Town Baptist Church, benediction by Rev. Tsopemo Ngully while vote of thanks was proposed by Principal Witter Bible College Mhonthung Humtsoe. The rally was attended by government officials, public, college and school students and all churches of Wokha town.
