Parliamentary secretary for geology and mining, irrigation and flood control and border affairs, Y. Patton graced the platinum jubilee celebration of N-Longidang Baptist Church under Wokha district on November 12.
Addressing the gathering, Patton said N- Longidang village was a respectable village amongst the Lotha villages with a considerable number of gazetted officers in various capacity playing a pivotal role in the state governance and also known for the honesty since time immemorial. He called upon the villagers to uphold the same spirit so that other people would emulate them.
Stressing on the developmental funds being poured in the villages, the parliamentary secretary urged the villagers to use the various developmental funds judiciously in order to avoid corruption in the village administration. He said corruption in the village would automatically affect the church administration as well. Invoking God’s blessings in abundance to the people of N-Longidang and to all who gathered at the celebration, Patton wished the celebration a grand success.
