First Tenyimi oral history held in Kma

The first ever hearing on the Tenyimi oral history was held at the Conclave Conference Hall, LCS building here today where several Tenyimi elders shared their historical knowledge orally with the research committee of the Tenyimi Peoples’ Organization (TPO). The hearing was organized by the TPO along with the research committee as part of its effort to research and document the history, origin and the migration of the Tenyimi forefather. Several elders and story tellers from the different Tenyimi constituent units took part in the hearing. TPO president, Z.M Sekhose delivered the keynote address which was followed by hearing from the elders and story tellers. TPO Research Committee, convenor, Z. Thele and member secretary, Dr. D. Kuolie gave their concluding remarks. TPO general secretary, Benjamin Lorin enlightened the house on the constitutions of various committees in connection with the forthcoming Tenyimi Day celebration on February 22 at Makhrei Rabu (Makhel). The hearing was chaired by TPO vice president, Keku Zeliang. (Correspondent)
