New community hall in Wokha

Community hall in Ward no 4 Wokha town was inaugurated on December 10 with Dr Chumben Murry minister for agriculture as chief guest and Athel O Lotha. ADC Wokha as guest of honour. The minister in his address chief minister was taking personal initiative in the ongoing peace process between NSCN (IM) and the government of India to carve out an “honorable and acceptable solution” and was totally committed to the welfare of the farmers and the youth. He said that modern youth was gifted with amazing talents and knowledge and more so since the cease fire agreement with the government of India in 1997. While exhorting the party workers he assured that importance would be given to party functionaries by entrusting development work to them at village levels. He also emphasized that that relationship and position of NCP legislators with NPF legislators in the DAN government was cordial and stable. Meanwhile, election and nomination in 38th A/C for various capacities was also undertaken during the inauguration in the district NCP office and Khojamo Murry, president was elected as working president at district parent body while vice president Yipen Tungoe was elected as president for the constituency from December 10, Akhyu Kithan vice president NCP was nominated as representative at state level and Chichamo Kithan general secretary and Tsatheo Tsanglao were nominated as chairman for medical cell and Kisan cell respectively.
