NPSC declares COPA result DIMAPUR: Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) has notified that on basis of written examinations and viva -voce one candidate for the post COPA under Labour and employment department has been declared. Name of the candidate is N John Kuotsu; Roll No 565. New bus service between Kohima– Khomi DIMAPUR: Nagaland State Transport has introduced new bus service between Kohima - Khomi on alternate days covering a route length of 111 Kms which came into effect from December 11. The bus service will ply with service No.463 UP from Kohima - Khomi and 464 DN from Khomi - Kohima. DCC office closure DIMAPUR: Office of the Dimapur District Congress Committee (DCC) will remain closed from December 21 to January 2 on account of Christmas and New Year. Informing this in a press release, general secretary (Media) DCC H. Kisheto Chishi informed all ACCC to submit the ongoing enrolment drive to the secretary DCC (enrolment in-charge) personally or contact 9436003177 for submission to PCC. Wokha Village Council DIMAPUR: General meeting of Wokha Village Council has been convened on January 9 at Wokha village play ground. All citizens of Wokha village residing outside the village have been requested to attend the meeting. KLST fetes best guitarist DIMAPUR: Kohima Longjang Senso Telongjem (Longjang Citizens Union) has congratulated Temjen Jamir son of Teka Jamir (Longjang) of Kohima for winning the ‘Best Guitarist Award’ at the ‘Live Drive’ competition. Union expressed hope that he would use his talents in the future to entertain people in a healthy way. Union also lauded Temjen and his band OFF for winning the recently held Hornbill National Rock contest. AVC informs DIMAPUR: Asukhuto Village Council (AVC), Zunheboto has informed that the Landowners’ Forum of Kheloshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) has been dissolved due to the landowners right being deprived and non-cooperation from the department of KPA. In a press note issued by chairman AVC has further informed that the names of the land owners are as Vitoi Aye, GB; Vihoto Aye GB; Kahoto Aye, member; Vitokhu Aye, member; Kughahoto Aye, member; Ato Aye, member and Toiho Aye, member. SJCN golden jubilee celebration DIMAPUR: St. Joseph Church Nerhema (SJCN) would be celebrating its golden jubilee on December 20 at 9:30am at Nerhema village under the theme, ‘Sow in tears, reap with joy’. SJCN has requested all to attend the celebration. NSF, ENSF pre-Christmas programme DIMAPUR: Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) would organize a Pre-Christmas celebration programme on December 22 at Heritage Complex (Old DC Bungalow) at 3.30pm. The two federations while extending Christmas greetings to the people of Nagaland further invited all federating units, subordinate units, seniors and well wishers to attend the programme. Khatsonatso Khel anniversay Kohima: The 25 years celebration of Khatsonatso Khel will be held on December 30 at Ze-Naki ground, Jakhama with Menukhol John, commissioner and secretary health and family welfare as chief guest. Star multipurpose co-operative society Kohima: General meeting of Star Multipurpose Co-operative Society has been convened on December 22, 10 am in the society building. All members have been requested to submit their shareholders cards. Chozuba Range Wrestling Association Kohima: The 23rd session of Chozuba Range Wrestling Association (CRWA) meet 2010, under the theme “Kiiku-o Thi” will be held from January 18 -19 at local ground Chazouba, with Chotisuh Sazo, parliamentary secretary Social welfare, child and women development and Thiipule Lohe president Chazuba Range Public Organization as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively . Tizit Area Students’ Union DIMAPUR: Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) will hold its 31st sports meet from January 7-14 at Tizit town local ground with minister for Forest & Environment, Ecology and Wildlife, M. C. Konyak as chief guest. Union informed all federating units that RTI awareness programme and 31st general meeting would be held on January 6 with State Information Commissioner, Rev. Dr. Pongshing as resource person.
