Committee constituted for UIDAI project

To facilitate successful implementation of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) project in Nagaland, the state government has constituted “State Empowered Committee” under the chairmanship of state chief minister Neiphiu Rio and several others as members including state minister for urban development and higher education Dr. Shürhozelie; home minister Imkong L. Imchen; minister for roads and bridges G. Kaito Aye; minister planning and coordination T.R. Zeliang; minister for school education and SCERT Nyeiwang Konyak; minister for power, election Doshehe Y. Sema; minister for soil & water conservation P. Longon; minister for health and family welfare Kuzholuzo; minister for forest, environment M.C. Konyak; minister for PHE Dr. Ngangshi K. Ao; minister for agriculture Dr. Chumben Murry; parliamentary secretary transport P. Dako Phom; NSMDC chairman Kipili Sangtam; parliamentary secretary horticulture R. Khing and sericulture advisor Azheto Zhimomi. According to an official notification, the state home commissioner would act as secretary of above committee. Also, to assist empowered committee in implementing the project, the ‘State Level Implementation Committee’ under chairmanship of state chief secretary with several others as members has been constituted. It may be mentioned that the government of India, through UIDAI is embarking on an ambitious project of issuing Unique Identification numbers to all the residents of India.
