With an aim to provide a place to stay for patients from Nagaland, a New Nagaland House building in Guwahati was inaugurated at Guwahati on December 19 by Kuzholuzo Neinu, minister of medical and health who was accompanied by Dr. Nicky Kire, chairman, NKVIB.
Addressing the gathering after unveiling the monolith, Azo said, the priority was to cater to the needs of the people at the same time deliver health services. He also requested the staff to do justice in their works and said it was high time that people talk about saving the economy and its upliftment.
It may be mentioned that the New Nagaland House, located Near Down Town Hospital, Pragati Path, Dispur was inaugurated to avail rooms for the Naga patients who go to Guwahati for treatment and have no place to stay. It would be like a home away from home where they could stay comfortably without tension and would be called as “Patient Guest House”. The house will be fully functional only from the second week of January 2010 after fixing the room rate by the government.
