NAP, KLBC, Merhulietsa celebrate Christmas

NAP: Director General of Police, Nagaland K.Kire IPS with his family joined to celebrate Christmas celebrations with the 1st NAP and 2nd NAP Battalion. Various dignatories from Central Government, Nagaland, Delhi police and other Police organisations also graced the occasion and participated in the celebrations. Few notable and prominent persons present during the celebration included Member of Parliament Lok Sabha from Nagaland C.M. Chang with his lady wife, G.K.Rengma IPS Additional Director General Of Police (OPS) and his family members, Dharmendra Prakash IFS, Jt.Development Commisioner MSME, Ashwini Kumar Chand IPS Commandant, Sikkim IRB, Hushili Sema, MD NHHDC, Wezope Kenye DRC Nagaland House, Commandant Meghalaya Armed Police Battalion, Parveen Rana ACP Delhi Police and others. The Programme was hosted by Sandeep M.Tamgadge IPS Commandant 1 NAP Bn and his wife Leena Tamgadge and all the officers and other ranks of 1st NAP and 2nd NAP were present for the Occasion. The commandant said the presence of the VIPS amidst the Jawans boosted the morale of the battalion and conveyed his gratitude to all concerned. KLBC: The members of Kohima Lotha Baptist Church (KLBC) celebrated Christmas on December 25 at its main church, adorned with Christmas flowers, jingles and bells, glittering stars and a Christmas tree befitting the occasion. Speaking on the topic, “Our Saviour is born at an appointed time” pastor, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, Reverend Mhathung Lotha said the second coming of Christ would also be at an appointed time, yet nobody knew the exact time except God our Father. He urged the congregation to be spiritually prepared for the second coming of Christ adding to live life to the fullness during the short stay in this world to portray the readiness for the appointed time. Highlights of the programme included special songs by the church choir and male voice. Ex- pastor A. Mathew invoked God’s blessings while associate CNY director Wobenthung Kithan read the scripture. The programme chaired by Associate Pastor, K.Benry Lotha. Merhulietsa Kohima: The residents of Merhulietsa (Paramedical) Colony, Kohima, celebrated pre-Christmas on December 22. The massive turnout was enthralled by spectacular performances of young talents and comedy show by womenfolk. Christmas message, Carols and refreshments lifted everyone’s spirit with Christmas cheer. Further, organizers, MRH local board, MRH Women Organization and Merhulietsa Youth Society have expressed gratitude to each and everyone who have contributed in the joyous celebration. The society also appreciated MLA and chairman NKVIB Dr. Nicky Kire, Tokishe Swu, deputy director and technicians of DIPR, John Sekhose, Kevin and all participants in the program who have taken so much pain to execute their part to perfection and further thanked to the youths and all unnamed faces who have laboured for the success of the program. MRH Youth Society also appreciated secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Urban Development Department for setting up of Waiting Shed at Paramedical Bridge Junction, National Highway 39, Avilie for donating the plot for the waiting shed and Razou advisor MRH Youth Society for his assistance to the Society over the years.
