Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) has appealed to the state government to upgrade Tseminyu sub-division to full- fledged administrative unit. Union stated that people living under Tseminyu sub-division have been deprived of development and self- employment opportunities allegedly due to manipulation by department officials. According to EUUN president Achilo Thong and convener Tegibu Tep, Tseminyu sub-division which covered the whole of Rengma tribe with a single constituency is the oldest un- upgraded administrative sub-division in the state headed by ADC who is not empowered to take certain decisions but refer the matter to the DC Kohima. EUUN further reiterated its demand to create separate quotas for Tseminyu sub-division for self employment and development through schemes and projects in various fields under PMEGP, CM corpus fund for self- development in various fields. Union further cautioned that sub-division and the Rengma educated unemployed would be compelled to take up agitation and block the highway if the demand for up gradation of Tseminyu sub-division was not fulfilled. It may be mentioned that earlier on Nov 21; the Union in its representation to state chief minister demanded for separate quotas for Tseminyu sub-division.
