Commonwealth officers’ conference DIMAPUR: Nagaland Legislative Assembly speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie and secretary A.E Lotha would be attending the 20th Commonwealth parliamentary presiding officers’ conference at New Delhi from January 4 to 8 as official delegates from Nagaland Branch. CCRC youth annual session KOHIMA: Chakhesang Christian Revival Church (CCRC) youth fellowship will celebrate 37th years of its session from January 8 to 10 at Chesezu village on the theme “For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life” I.Thes.4:7. The main speakers for the session include Reverend Vevozo Khamo, Pastor NCRC Mission centre and Professor Imchayanger, secretary mission board NCRC. On January 8, 2010, the youth building at Mission centre Cheteba would be commission by Reverend Zhowhiiyi. All have been invited to come and be blessed. SVSU annual session held DIMAPUR: Sankiton Village Students’ Union (SVSU) 48th annual session was held on December 18 and 19 on the theme “Duties of the students’ towards society” with Tobu ADC S. Nyanbemo Tsanglao and SIS Wokha circle Thechamo Tsanglao as chief guest and theme speaker respectively. SVSU has further informed that a general meeting for the upcoming golden jubilee and an election of new team of office bearers would be held on January 9, 8 am at the residence of its vice president Libemo Tsanglao at Rachan colony Wokha. All college students, elders, past and present executives have been requested to attend the meeting. Rotrary Club of Dimapur picnic DIMAPUR: Rotrary Club of Dimapur (RCD) would be organizing Rotrary New Year Picnic (RNYP) on January 1 at Noune Resort, Seithekema-A village. All members have been requested to attend the picnic along with family and friends. Ghonivi Students’ Union conference DIMAPUR: Ghonivi Students’ Union (GSU) has convened its annual conference on December 29 and 30 with DMC member Kuhoi Zhimomi as chief guest for then inaugural session. All members have been requested to attend the conference. Renowned preacher dead DIMAPUR: Renowned preacher among the Sumi community, Lukikhe Kiba of Littami Old village died on December 28 at around 3:40 pm after a prolonged illness. According to family members, the funeral service would be held on December 29 at 9 a.m at the residence of S. K. Rai, ADC Naginimora at Padumpukhri near Agape College, Dimapur.
