TCSU celebrates 50 years

Totok Chingnyu Students Union (TCSU) celebrated golden Jubilee from December 18 to 20 under the theme ‘Knowledge is power’ with CLP leader and MLA 46 A/C, N. Chingwang as chief guest. The chief guest also inaugurated the jubilee memorial building while Rev. T.W Yamyap Bursar ETC Jorhat, dedicated the building. Chingwang in his speech said students as the backbone of the society has to play important roles to bring social changes and development in today’s modern world. The jubilee speaker streamlined the theme ‘Knowledge is power’ and encouraged the youngsters to obtain quality education and be a dynamic leader and also to bring changes in the society. He also urged the students to render selfless services for the progress of the society. Two history books were also released to mark the jubilee celebration. Further, the jubilee planning chairman, P. Angtong Konyak has expressed gratitude to jubilee planning and editorial board, sub-committees, individuals, groups for active participation and rendering voluntary services and also thanked those persons who helped in cash, materials for making the praogramme a success. The program was attended by delegates of entire Konyak villages and citizen of Totoks.
