‘To preserve the cultural heritage of the Yimchunger tribe in all its fullness,’ was the center of thought on the day.
“It is good to see the renewal of effort to uplift the cultural values especially when much of it was condemned and thrown out in the past even by some missionaries in the name of revival,” was the message of an exhortation.
Rev. Fr. Yimso said “The upliftment of culture should focus not only the cultural practices and performance but the great values the tribe upheld as its core of tradition”.
Special songs, dances, folk songs and a refreshing meal were other contents of the programme.
