: The 3rd Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF)cultural festival was held at Kiphire town from December 14 to 17 and was divided into seven segments to accommodate all cultural and traditional ingredients of the six tribes of Eastern Nagaland. The events at the festival included cultural items, fashion shows, fusion voices, beat contest, Miss eastern Nagaland contest and display of other artistic forms. Dekhingla Sangtam took the coveted Miss eastern Nagaland while Toxic peace band got the best Band award 2009.
The Kiphire event attracted over two thousand people from various places including delegates from the six federating students units of Eastern Naga Students Federation besides outstanding personalities.
The Eastern Naga Students Federation has been organizing the cultural fest annually to research, retrospect, rejuvenate, preserve and honour antiquity, originality and antiquity of the cultural and traditional aspects of six tribes of Eastern Nagaland to save the ancestors legacies which were gradually dying and to show a single face of the six tribes to the world communities. ENSF also expressed gratitude to all those who made the 3rd cultural fest a success and looked forward for more cooperation in the days to come.
