Kids Carnival begins in Kisama

Chief minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday inaugurated the Kids’ Carnival 2009 as a part of the Hornbill festival at the children’s park in Kisama. Inaugurating the carnival, the chief minister said that the Kids’ Carnival would serve as a place for kids to enjoy themselves. He assured that the carnival would be a yearly event alongside the Hornbill Festival. Rio added that the approach road to the kids park in Kisama would be reconstructed and blacktopped. Earlier, member of Synergy Group Entreprise, Kevilezo Kense, thanked the government for its support and assured to give their best. Hornbill tee-shirts were unveiled during the programme. The six day event at the Kids’ Carnival 2009 included competitions in the field of drawing, singing, essay writing, extempore speech, fancy dress and dancing. The judges for drawing competition are M. Doulo and Zeto Kire, judges for singing competition are Azi Therieh and Toshinaro, judges for essay writing are Ruyizo, Rita and Seyie, judges for extempore speech includes Zaren odyuo and Ben Imchen, judges for fancy dress include Aby Therieh and Nokcha while Benny and Senti will judge the dancing competition. Results of painting competition held during the Kids Carnival which began on December 1 are; Group-A (Naga Hut) (Class 1 to 3) – 1. Liaren Fernwood School, 2. Koche – MHBHSS. Group-B (Hornbill Bird) (Class 4 to 6)-1.Arieno Koza –Baptist High, 2.Wilson Kikon –MHBHSS. Group- C (A Naga festival), (Class 7 to 9)1.Lima Toshi- Northfiled, 2.Nusazo Swiiro-MHBHSS.
