Statehood day observed in Nagaland House, New Delhi

Nagaland Statehood Day was celebrated at Nagaland House, Aurangzeb road, New Delhi with MP. Lok Sabha, CM CHnag as chief guest. The function was chaired by resident commissioner, D. K bhalla invocation prayer by Rev. Dr. L Tsanso, chaplain Lotha fellowship, Delhi followed by a state song “God Bless My Nagaland”. Special folk song and dance was also presented by the Sumi students’ cultural troupe, Delhi and special numbers by Zaseta, Ruth, and Mercy Epao. The chief guest while addressing the gathering said that Nagas had struggled for a long period to achieve statehood on December 1, 1963 with a special condition under the Indian Constitution stated in Article 371 (A). The chief guest also appealed the gathering especially the Naga officers and state cadres posted in Delhi to work diligently and bring laurels to the state. The function was attended by dignitaries such MLS, ex-MP, student leaders and Naga officers posted in the capital.
