Brigadier Pramod Behl, DIG, Commandant ARTC & S handed over the reins of ARTC&S to Brigadier Devraj Anbu, SM in a glittering ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion of the Special Sainik Sammelan Brigadier Pramod Behl thanked all officers, JCOs, OR and civil staff for rendering co-operation and helping hand in executing his policies and orders in order to provide value based training to the trainees coming from various parts of the country and an efficient administration.
He stressed on the practical aspects of training which in the long run forms the basis of all professional endeavors of the Assam Rifles jawan.
The ARTC&S is the cradle of the Assam Rifles and as such has an important role to play in shaping the minds of the young recruits that are trained in the centre. He prayed the Almighty God for the well being of all the officers, JCOs, instructors, civilian and their families at the training centre and school.
After handing over the ‘Baton’, Brigadier Pramod Behl was given a “Ceremonial Pull Out” from the Centre HQ.
The new Commandant Brigadier Devraj Anbu, SM, alumni of National Defence Academy Khadakvasala was commissioned into the 14 Battalion of Sikh Light Infantry in 1980.
During his long innings, Brigadier Anbu has commanded his battalion and an Infantry Brigade in the Kashmir valley.
Professionally he has excelled in all his courses viz DSSC and Higher Command. He has also served in the UN Mission in Namibia and been an instructor at the NDA. He was awarded the ‘Sena Medal’ in 1987 for operations on the Siachen glacier.
