Funeral service of Panger Ao DIMAPUR: Funeral service of I. Panger Ao (Changki), retired additional secretary Agri and Allied will be held on December 7, 9 am at the residence at Agri Farm Colony, Kohima. Panger Ao passed away in Kohima after a brief illness. He was 89. PBSSU general meet DIMAPUR: Purana Bazar Sumi Students’ Union (PBSSU) has convened a general meeting on December 8 at 3pm at the residence of Akheto Yeptho, union banker, Middle colony. Kahoshe Zhimomi, president PBSSU has requested all the executives, advisors, ex-presidents and prayer secretaries to attend the meeting. KBPF informs DIMAPUR: Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (KBPF) has informed that monthly Monday morning prayer has been convened on December 7 at 7am at Lerie Baptist Church. Further advent Christmas and installation of new office bearers would be held on December 11 at 4pm at Baptist Mission Church. Hotokhu P Zhimomi, president KBPF has requested all senior pastors, pastors and associate pastors (general, women, youth) attend the event with their spouses. SOSU informs DIMAPUR: Shena Old Students’ Union (SOSU) has informed all executives to reach Shena Old village on or before December 15 and failing which action would be taken as per the rules of the constitution (Yehzabo). CYAA golden jubilee celebration DIMAPUR: Chimonger Yangdong Akhiru Amulong (CYAA) would be celebrating its golden jubilee on December 28 and 29. Further CYAA has convened a general meeting on December 21. CYAA has requested all students to reach the village before December 15. KLSU 37th annual social parting DIMAPUR: Kohima Lotha Students’ Union (KLSU) has convened its 37th annual social parting cum selection of new office bearers for the present tenure on December 8 at 11am at the residence of its union magazine secretary, PR Hill. Lichamo Mozhui, general secretary KLSU has requested all the unit presidents or general secretaries’ in-charge and candidates to attend the programme. Yangphi union, Kiphire meet held DIMAPUR: Rest House (Yangphi) Ward Union, Kiphire had held a general meeting on November 18 at Town Hall Kiphire. In the meeting, R. Tsutongse member, Kiphire Town Council, encouraged the public to maintain the peace and harmony within the ward and also highlighted various development schemes to be implemented through peaceful means in the ward. He also donated Rs. 40000 to the disabled person, underprivileged persons and old age persons of the Rest House (Yangphi) ward. Meanwhile, union appreciated Tsutongse Sangtam for his valuable contribution towards the union as well as for the free-will contribution to the underprivileged persons. GPS Nyasa village upgraded to GMS DIMAPUR: Government Primary School Nyasa village was upgraded to Government Middle School on November 21 with MLA Lanpha Konyak as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Lanpha urged the villagers to develop a sense of ownership over the school and contribute their share of responsibilities so that the school can grow. Other highlights of the programme included folk songs and dances by the villagers and special song presented by the choir. Christian School up gradation DIMAPUR: School up gradation-cum-pre-Christmas celebration of Christian School, Chedema will be held on December 7, 10 am at the school premises. Staff and students have extended invitation to all village heads, women, youth, parents and past pupil to the celebration.
