DC Peren notifies on transfer of plot DIMAPUR: DC of Peren Khrienuo C Metha has notified all public that Geigwang son of late Hegeubang of Nkozai colony Peren Town is applying for transfer of plot patta from his father to his name. Public are given one month time for claim/objection if any from the date of issue of this notice. Boundary of patta East: Pungro/Samhla; West Pisabo; North: stream; South: Circular road. If no claim/objection is received during the stipulated given time the transfer of plot patta will be given in his name. ATMA Dimapur picnic DIMAPUR: ATMA Dimapur picnic cum pre-Christmas celebration has been organized on December 12 at Manja river valley Assam. All AMC, BTT and AES members have been asked to attend the program. The advance party for the picnic will leave at 5 am and general members at 8 am from the DAO’s office compound and proceed in a convoy. Coco Area Union Dimapur DIMAPUR: Meeting of Coco Area Union Dimapur (CAUD) has been convened on December 13 at 2 pm in the residence of Vikuto Wotsa, Chairman CAUD, Purana Bazar. All office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting. IRCSKDB visits fire incident site DIMAPUR: Indian Red Cross Society Kohima District Branch (IRCSKDB) officials have visited the site of fire incident at Hospital colony on December 5 where four houses were burned down and families of 10 tenants/occupants were displaced. A press note by IRCSKDB honorary secretary, Beizo Mepfhuo stated that the branch has contributed ‘cash and kind’ to the affected tenants and house owners for their immediate needs. Kyong Hoho meeting DIMAPUR: Representative meeting of Kyong Hoho has been convened on December 18, 9:30 am at LTC Hall Wokha. Two representatives from each village council and all subordinate units of Kyong Hoho have been requested to attend the meeting. NGF jubilee DIMAPUR: Final rehearsal for the NGF Silver Jubilee song presentation from Dimapur District GBs will be held on December 10 at 10:30 am in the GBs office. All participants of the GBs from Dimapur District have been requested to assemble in time. All matters relating to transportation will be discussed on December 13 and unit wise office bearers. BSI Branch meet DIMAPUR: Bible Society of India (BSI) Kuda branch committee has convened a meeting on December 10 at 2 pm at Mao Baptist church Kuda Village, Dimapur. All Kuda branch committee members have been requested to attend the meeting. NPF youth meeting DIMAPUR: Consultative meeting of NPF Central Youth Wing has been convened on December 16 at NPF Central Office Kohima at 10am. All Central Youth Wing office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting. YGKK prayer meeting DIMAPUR: Yemishe Ghami Kulolaumi Kulu (YGKK) has informed that its 9th yearly prayer meeting would be held on December 12 at the residence of Showoto Yepthomi, Nihoto village at 9 am. Kerala Club celebrates pre-Christmas DIMAPUR: The Kerala Club, Kohima celebrated pre-Christmas at Kohima on December 1 with traditional gaiety. Rev. Fr. George Antony of St. Mary’s High School, Kohima who was the chief guest on the occasion, stressed the need to lead a true and meaningful life; and opined that such celebrations and get-togethers would definitely strengthen the thread of oneness among people of different religion and different walks of life. The KCK kids and members presented pre-Christmas songs. KCK, president, Rajendranath welcomed the participants and the function concluded with vote of thanks by Cabinet Secretary. ASU golden jubilee DIMAPUR: Aichisaghemi Students’ Union (ASU) would celebrate its Golden Jubilee from December 18-20 on the theme “Cherish the Past, Claim the Future” with NHHDC chairman & MLA, Shetoyi Yepthomi as chief guest and ASU first president, Khekiye Rochill as guest of honour. All Aichisaghemi villagers have been requested to attend the programme. Coaching classes for class 10 cancelled DIMAPUR: As directed by authorities the District Education officer Kohima has notified that proposed coaching classes for class 10 students of Kohima district at Nagaland University headquarter, Lumami from December 14 to 18 has been cancelled due to unavoidable reasons. Schools have been asked to conduct their respective school coaching classes from their own schools as normal from January 11, 2010 (Monday).
