Project Sunrise launched in Kohima

Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF), the corporate social responsibility arm of Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd on Thursday launched Project Sunrise at Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home, Kohima. The project is a part of the global welfare initiative for the less privileged children. The AOF in partnership with Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home will undertake annual educational sponsorship for children in the orphanage home and provide educational aid to the orphanage. 59 students of the orphanage home will be educationally sponsored through this project. Speaking at the programme, guest of honour for the occasion V. Kezo, IRS OSD Finance lauded the Amway for their initiative in helping lesser privileged people He said that such initiative would widen and increase their business. Kezo also urged them to continue to patronize lesser privileged children. He acknowledged works of the founder of the orphanage home, Zaputuoü, and said that the good example of sacrifice should be followed and shared with others. As a part of Project Sunrise, the AOF provided educational and transportation funds amounting to Rs.80,000, including note books for the children. Bickramjit Paul, area manager, Northeast Amway India Enterprise Pvt Ltd and chief volunteers of AOF in north east also attended the programme.
