Vehicle movement on NH-155 DIMAPUR: Plying of heavy vehicles with more than 6 tons over Dikhu River Bridge on National Highway-155 has been prohibited owing to the ongoing repairing of the bridge. NH-155 executive engineer Meren Ao informed public and transport carriers that this prohibition will be in effect till the repairing is completed. (Staff Reporter) NSAMB board of directors meets DIMAPUR: The 4th meeting of board of directors of Nagaland State Agricultural Marketing Board (NSAMB) has been convened on December 15 from 11:30am at Hotel Japfu. C. Mozhui, member secretary NSAMB has requested all board members to attend the meeting. Medical officers, health workers trained DIMAPUR: Training of medical officers and health workers under Kohima district for IPPI was conducted on December 9 and 10 at Chief Medical Officer (CMO) conference hall. According to a press note issued by Dr. L. Ralte, CMO Kohima district, the resource persons for the training include Dr. Avino Kire, deputy CMO; Dr. Temsu, SMO and Dr. M. Kire from DHS. Further, CMO has requested all in-charge for their active community participation during IPPI programme to be held in January and February. Tribal Union extend greetings DIMAPUR: The Tribal Union Chumukedima extended Christmas and New Year greetings to every family and community. The union also further appealed to all the leaders of different factions to maintain utmost restrain and allow the people to celebrate this festival in love and true spirit. Jubilee celebrations DIMAPUR: Nerhema Catholic St. Joseph Church would be celebrating its golden jubilee on December 20 at village with Rev. Fr. Neisalhou Carlus Kuotsu vicar general of Kohima Diocese as main celebrant. Neihuzo Puis, golden jubilee secretary has requested all the members to attend the celebration. ZSU: Zhavame Students’ Union will be celebrating its golden jubilee from January 19 to 23 coinciding with 63rd general conference of Chakhesang Students’ Union. State chief minister Neiphiu Rio will be the chief guest at the jubilee celebration. Therefore, Village Council, Women Society, VDB, VEC, Youth Society, Khel Union and various Town Units are requested not to engage any activities for the month of Janaury 2010. All Executives council members and Volunteers have been directed to reach village by the December 20. NGBF: Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) will be celebrating its silver jubilee on December 14 at local ground, Kohima with Neiphiu Rio, chief minister Nagaland as the chief guest. This has been informed in a press note jointly issued by K. Vikuto Zhimomi, president and T.V. Litsaba, joint secretary NGBF. LSU: Longra Staff Union (LSU) under Noksen Sub-Division would be celebrating its silver jubilee from January 8 to 10 under the theme, “Set forth and strive”. This has been informed in a press release issued by M.C. Malem, convener planning committee LSU.
