The 8th Convention of Angami Catholic Union (ACU) held on the theme “You did not chose me, but I chose you” on Sunday concluded at Chiephobozou with a call to change into a new life.
Addressing the Solemn Eucharist celebration Very Rev Fr. Neisalhou Carolus Kuotsu, Vicar General Kohima Diocese exhorted the mammoth gathering that coming of Jesus Christ signified Gods love, compassion, forgiveness, joy and a new blessed life.
Stating that turning of the water into wine by Jesus Christ symbolised the end of suffering, distress, agony and sins towards achieving the path of salvation and togetherness of man with God, he stated that at time the goodness of life faded away and the only way to overcome was to revive the old life instead of seeking for a new one and also be close to the words of God for His guidance.
Further he called upon the congregation to work hard and accomplish responsibility with Gods given talent to see His wonders work on it.
The convention also witnessed the election of new office bearers of ACU for the term 2010-12 with Saku Francis as the President, Dolhousielie as vice president, Ketusieu Monica as general secretary, Konuo Agatha as joint secretary and Medozhau Methodius as treasurer. The new officer bearers were blessed upon with special prayer by Very Rev. Fr. Neisalhou Carolus, vicar general, Kohima diocese and host of priests.
