The four day Suruhuto Range Students’ Union golden jubilee concluded on January 15 at Suruhuto town on the theme ‘In pace with time’ with chairman NHHDC MLA Shetoyi Sumi as the chief guest. He congratulated the union in its attainment to fifty years of existence and urged the student body to acknowledge the contribution made by the pioneers. Apart from his financial assistance to the union, the MLA donated a sum of fifty thousand rupees to its former president Sukiye Rochill and founder of the union way back in 1960. The closing ceremony was graced by secretary communication and information and technology, science and technology, food and civil supplies, K.T Sukhalu IAS as the chief guest. Resource persons at the jubilee celebration included Er. Shikato Jakhalu, EE (Power), Shikuto Achumi, DWO, Kiyekhu Awomi, Kilonser and Joshua Sumi, principal ATC (Aizuto).
Further, the jubilee planning board has expressed gratitude to the chief guests, officers and VDBs of Suruhuto area, president and colleagues of SRSU, editorial board, reception, organizing, finance committees and constituent units of the union.
