Chakehsang youth expose talents at CBCC session

The youth talent contest 8th session organized by CBCC youth department was held at Kikrüma under Phek district from January 8-10. Youth were challenged with its theme to be an instrument of Peace. Altogether 3296 delegates took part in the event. Different categories of competition held were solo, theme song, group Bible reading, worship dance, clowning, indigenous choir with instrument, arts and painting, volley ball match. CBCC youth department felicitated minister for health and family welfare Küzholüzo (Azo) Nienü who was awarded national awards such as ‘up-rising leader of India by Friendship Forum of India 2006 and workaholic minister of the year 2009 by Confederation of Indian Universities’, Vepilü Chüzho for securing the 1st position in the top 10 list in HSLCE (1st among Nagas) 2009; Velükho Rhakho, captain of the Indian football junior team; Vesekhoyi Tetseo who was recently elected as president of the Asia Pacific Baptist Youth Fellowship. Resource persons and speakers were Rev. P. Bonny Resu general secretary, Asia Pacific Baptist Federation, Rev. Vezopa Tetseo, executive secretary, CBCC, Rev. D.N. Soho, pastor, Phek Town B/C, Küzholüzo Nienü Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Sachopra Vero, director, youth resources and sports, Vengota Nakro, project director, NEPED, Dr. George, Dy. director, health and family welfare, Rev. Iringtie Kauring, youth secretary, NBCC. Further, youth department of CBCC has extended its gratitude to Chokri Area Baptist Youth Fellowship and Kikrüma Baptist Church for hosting the 8th session, speakers, resource persons, program participants and delegates for their participation. The department also thanked Doordarshan Kendra, Kohima, All India Radio, Kohima, Highland Dawn Media, Kohima, Morung Express and other daily papers, Hills Sound, Senapati, Power Department, PHE Department, medical department, NST, Assam Rifles, administration.
