Continuing with the ongoing “Save and Conserve Water Campaign” project, the Communication and Capacity Development Unit (CCDU), PHED, Nagaland on Tuesday started with construction of Ferrocement tank with a capacity of 5000 liters in the northern side of the local ground (Khouchiezie), Kohima behind UBC Church.
On Tuesday Capacity Development Unit Executive Director Er. Kevisekho Kruse visited the site of the construction. It was learned that Ferrocement tank will be fully functional and will be used in the ensuing Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) quasqui centennial and Road show cum Sekrenyi festival 2010 next month.
Further Ferrocement tank would be able cater the need any programs/ functions and football tournaments in the ground and the public and denizens have been requested to take care of the government property as it would be help in many ways in the days and years to come. The “Save and Conserve Water Campaign” of Capacity Development Unit, PHED was launched on December 15 last year in Kohima.
It may be mentioned that CCDU, PHED led by Er. Kevisekho Kruse, executive director Capacity Development Unit initiated and organized the campaign with the idea to introduce the low coast Ferrocement technology and to create facility for enabling many people, especially at Kohima to construct their own water storage tanks.
