KATC clarifies on its formation

Responding to the news item “ Kuhuboto citizens appeal to SDO” which was published on January 19, Kuhuboto Adhoc Town Committee vice chairman Inaho Sukhalu and member Kakiye Chishi in a joint rejoinder have stated that the Adhoc Town committee was formed with the approval of the DC vide order No DEV /14 /Adhoc /TC 2005/6254 /St 22nd Sept 09 and not by any individual as alleged. The Rejoinder added that the vice chairman was approved by the area members and subsequently was appointed with 6 members by the SDO (C ) Kuhuboto and not self appointed as alleged. Further, the rejoinder stated that the NREGA implementation was still under process therefore the question of misappropriation of funds as alleged did not arise. Therefore, the allegations made by 7 individuals viz Kakiye K Zhimomi, Kakugha Yeputhomi, Nivishe Kinimi, Akato Yeputho, Kihive Swu, Hukheto Yeputhomi (retd Pastor), Hekishe Assumi was “baseless and on personal interest”. Meanwhile, the GB’s of Kuhuboto Town in press release have condemned the character assassination of the vice chairman of the Adhoc town committee and said the committee was a government approved body consisting of the SDO(C ) as chairman with 6 members and not self styled as alleged. Further the body since inception in Sept 2009 has brought in a lot of developmental activities in Kuhuboto town, many of which are in process through their initiatives, The release stated that the GBs of Kuhuboto town would continue to cooperate and work in unison with the Adhoc town committee for welfare of the town. In another release, Akato Yeputho and Kivihe Swu have stated that as far names of the signatories in “ Kuhuboto citizens appeal to SDO” are concerned they are not involved in the matter under any circumstances.
