Saraswati Puja celebrated

: Hindus celebrated Saraswati Puja on the occasion of Basant Panchami at different places in Dimapur on Wednesday. Basant Panchami is considered as one of the most auspicious days in the year for initiation of children into learning. Saraswati Puja is observed on the fifth day after the no moon night in the Hindu month of Magh. It is believed that Goddess Saraswati was born on this day. Saraswati has been identified with the Vedic Saraswati River. Bansant Panchami is also known as Vasant Panchami or it is also called Shree Panchami and is celebrated to give honor to Maa Saraswati, who is the Goddess of Knowledge (Vidya). Maa Saraswati is the Hindu people’s goddess of knowledge, art, music & creativity. In India, mostly every Hindu people tell their children to become devotee of Maa Saraswati and guide them to perform Maa Saraswati Puja in front of Maa Saraswati Photo and on Vasant Panchami day. On Basant Panchami, Hindus wear yellow cloth and even distribute yellow colored ladoo sweets to families and friends. Many parents also kept their children’s notebooks, pens & educational items next to Maa Saraswati’s statue on this day, hoping the goddess would bless them with knowledge, wisdom, enlightenment and vidya. Many sites provide, Maa Saraswati e-cards related to Basant Panchami greetings and Maa Saraswati Wallpaper are also available. Some do Saraswati Pooja by performing Goddess Saraswati Vandana chanting Saraswati Vandana Mantra. Beautiful and colourful idols of Goddess Saraswati were set up at Golden Eagle Boy’s Club Puja Pandal, Ram Janaki thakurbari Boy’s Club Puja Pandal and Heart Beats Club at Ram Janaki Thakurbari, Dimapur.
