Republic Day attendance DIMAPUR: All officers and staff of Nagaland Civil Secretariat have been directed to attend the celebration of Republic Day 2010 at Secretariat Plaza Kohima. The branch officers will check the attendance of their respective department/branch at the Secretariat entrance gate and pick up timing will be at 8 am, an official bulletin informed. Netaji’s birth anniversary DIMAPUR: The 114th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose would be held on January 23, 5:30pm at Ramakrishna Sevashram, near Railway High School, Dimapur with Savi Liegise, president Naga Council Dimapur as chief guest and Lipok Pongen, member Dimapur Municipal Council as guest of honour. AFC to launch Tofu items DIMAPUR: Advanced Food Court (AFC), Nagaland would be launching Tofu (soy paneer) and Tofu items in Nagaland on January 23 at 4pm at Hotel Saramati, Super Market Dimapur with Azheto Zhimomi, advisor cooperation and sericulture as chief guest and N.N. Zhasa, commissioner and secretary to the government of Nagaland Department of Agriculture as guest of honour. In a press note issued by Rokobikho Savino, director marketing AFC has stated that the programme is a joint collaboration of AFC, Confederation of Naga Farmers’ Union, Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre and Nagaland Hotels Limited. DSO Mon informs govt. registered societies KOHIMA: District Statistical Officer (DSO), Mon district has informed that enumerators of NPI survey could not meet and contact president or secretary of government registered societies while conducting the survey due to non-availability of proper address of the particular society. In a press note L. Tongmeth Konyak, District Statistical Officer, Mon district informed all societies to contact district statistical office, Mon at office hour for necessary confirmation. Dimapur HoDs to attend Republic Day DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Maongwati Aier has informed all heads of department (HoDs) of Dimapur district to attend Republic Day function to be observed at DDSC Stadium. Attendance of departmental officers and staff of Dimapur would be taken at the venue of the function and handed over to additional deputy commissioner Dimapur. In this regard, all HoDs have been requested to further inform their officers and staff to attend the function accordingly. NICGOA meet DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of all executive members and action committee members of Nagaland Industries and Commerce Gazetted Officers Association (NICGOA)has been convened on January 29, 10 am in the conference hall of the directorate of industries and commerce, Kohima. All executive members and action committee members have been requested to attend the meeting. Thuvopisumi Students’ Union DIMAPUR: Thuvopisumi Students’ Union Dimapur Area (TSUDA) has convened a general meeting on January 29 at 10am at residence of union convener, Naga united village. TSUDA has informed that the meeting would discuss and elect new office bearers. Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organization DIMAPUR: Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organization (KGPO) has convened a general meeting on January 26 at 9:30 am at KGPO hall. Vitoka Yeptho, general secretary KGPO has requested all the GBs, village council chairman and KGPO members to attend the meeting. Suhoi Village Council general meet DIMAPUR: Suhoi Village Council (SVC) has convened a general meeting on January 30 at 9am at the residence of Tokuho Neho, head GB. Vihoshe P. Don Bosco alumni meet DIMAPUR: Emergency meeting of Don Bosco Alumni Association Wokha unit has been convened on January 23, 1:30 p.m to discuss matters pertaining to the association. All executive members and councilors of the association have been requested to attend the meeting. OCWTU annual picnic-cum-meeting DIMAPUR: Old Changsu Wokha Town Union (OCWTU) will hold its annual picnic cum general meeting on January 13 below Tourist Lodge. All family members of Old Changsu have been requested to attend the programme. Peren DPDB meet DIMAPUR: District Planning Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Peren district has been convened on January 27 at 11am at Deputy Commissioner Conference hall. Khrienuo C. Metha, DC Peren has requested all the DPDB members, conveners of the road show programme and representatives of Zeliangrong Baudi, Zeliangrong Mipui organization, Kuki Mpi and Zeliang officers’ forum to attend the meeting. Further, DC Peren who is also the convener of Steering Committee for Road Show Peren District has requested the interested logo designers to design a logo along with the slogan for the road show of Peren district and to submit it personally or through e-mail at on or before January 29 and that the selected design would be awarded a cash prize of rupees ten thousand. RBPP admission for Hindi course DIMAPUR: Rastra Bhasha Prachar Parishad (RBPP) has informed that admission for three years diploma course in Hindi is going on at RBPP Kohima, lower PWD and for more details to contact on 9856155638. NIIT parents-teachers meet DIMAPUR: All the parents/guardians of the GNIITians, sponsored under year of capacity building 2008-09, by Department of ICT, Nagaland have been requested to attend parents-teachers meet to be held at NIIT Dimapur Centre on January 23 at 3.30pm. USSC annual session held DIMAPUR: United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC) 62nd annual session was held from January 14 to 17 at Longkhim Town. In its session, the conference elected new team of office bearers headed with Likhumba as president, Kokdibong as vice president and Hepong as general secretary. Further, USSC has extended gratitude to all individuals, chief guest of various events, officials and dignitaries for their presence and valuable contribution towards the conference. Classic Club meeting DIMAPUR: Meeting of Classic Club Kohima has been convened on January 24 at 5 pm at the residence of Zakiekhotuo Kiso at East Circular Road. All members have been requested to attend the meeting. Lost and found DIMAPUR: A Pension Book belonging to one Limakumla has been found at Dimapur Railway Gate auto rickshaw parking on January 21.
