CVSU celebrate children’s year

Changlangshu Village Students’ Union (CVSU) celebrated children’s year on December 28 at Changlangshu village local ground where C.L. John Konyak, chairman Marcofed and chairman DPDB Mon was the chief guest and Naiba Konyak, parliamentary secretary Sports, Youth Resources and Land Revenue as guest of honour. According to a press note issued by Y. Pongba Konyak, president CVSU, the chief guest exhorted the youngsters to train up themselves for cultural dance and also assured that children cultural team from Changlangshu village would be allowed to participate in the road show at Mon town which is likely to be held on April. The chief guest further donated rupees fifty thousand towards the union and rupees ten thousand to the cultural team. The main highlights of the celebration included log drum beating (Khel wise), cultural dance, Bible recitation (Ten Commandments), solo, modern dance, shooting, GK test and badminton. Further, the celebration was also attended by Tingthok, president NPF Mon and office bearers; Tehok unit NPF president and party workers from different Tehok constituency; NPF president Tobu unit and his colleagues; Tamkoang village council chairman, Monyakshu village council chairman and leaders of Tobu area. Meanwhile, CVSU has expressed gratitude to all for attending the celebration.
