: As part of the multi-media campaign, a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Interpersonal communication (IPC) was conducted by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) from January 22 to 24 at DUDA Guest House, Kohima. Altogether 30 participants representing NGOs, DLNs and FBOs from 10 districts attended the program.
The training was conducted to train the district interpersonal communication team to carry out IPC Campaign in media dark villages in all the ‘A’ category districts of the State. The campaign aimed to impart factual information on HIV and AIDS amongst the youth in the age group of 15 to 29 years in the media dark villages.
The training was facilitated by Ella Mary, Director, Youth Action for Social Service (YARD), Kohima, Dr. Abo, Medical Officer, ART Centre Kohima, Abino Khate and Paul from NSACS.
Topics such as harm reduction, stigma and discrimination, services available, etc were covered during the training. The trainees were also taken on a site visit to ICTC Centre, Blood Bank, ART Centre, NNP+ and Kripa Foundation as part of the training activity.
The trained persons will be conducting intensive IPC activities in their respective district where it would cover a total of 100 villages during this campaign.
