: The 12th annual conference of North East Region Commonwealth Parliamentary Association will be held at Shillong, Meghalaya from January 28 to 31. The conference will be inaugurated by Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar, who is the patron of NERCPA and chief guest of the conference.
NLA speaker Kiyanilie and deputy speaker Ralanthung Yanthan, Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland, C.M. Chang, minister for planning and evaluation, V&AH, parliamentary affairs and secretary and officials of NLA, Kohima will be attending the conference.
According to an official bulletin, NLA speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie will be the lead speaker amongst the speakers on the topic ‘The impact of insurgency activities in the North East India on Socio-Economic Development and its solution thereof’. C.M. Chang will also participate in the discussion on the same topic.
