Reiterating its earlier exigency representation to state chief secretary November 3 last, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) today said that certain individuals, as in the case of flood and irrigation department, were still attempting to manipulate their age in service without including the years served before regularization. A joint statement issued Thursday by NSF president Mutsikhoyo Yhobu and general secretary O. Wati Jamir also said that some department has extended service to some “vested interested individual” who have already retired. “The Federation has come to know those anomalies when we were compelled to verify in various departments as a watchdog in order to check the injustices meted by the official in different department,” the NSF leaders stated. Cautioning the sincerity of state government in verifying such anomalies, the NSF said as such practices cannot be accepted by the students’ community.
