Cong resolves to expose corruption

: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) members has resolved to fight against alleged corruption, irregularities and misgovernance in the present DAN government while deliberating upon various issues of the state Thursday at the first CLP meeting held here at the residence of its new CLP leader Tokheho Yepthomi. Speaking at the meet, the CLP leader expressed desire to serve Naga people and strengthen Congress party. He also appealed to all party members to extend ceaseless cooperation and contribution for the welfare of the people, a statement issued by parliamentary secretary to CLP, C.Apok Jamir said. The Congress workers also resolved to carry out good programmes and policies of Congress led UPA government, it stated, adding that to be watchdogs in the proper implementation of public programmes and policies by the DAN government. The meet was attended by all 18 Congress MLAs except Nungshizenba, who was under medical treatment in New Delhi. According to Apok, the members participated in full strength dispelling doubt that the party was a divided house. The meeting, it was stated, generated lot of enthusiasm as all members were upbeat and resolved to work with unity under the dynamic leadership of Tokheho Yepthomi. The members also expressed gratitude to former CLP leader Chingwang Konyak and former NPCC president K.V.Pusa for their magnanimity and contribution in strengthening the party.
