Bloodshed among Nagas wrong, says Imchen

Home Minister Imkong L. Imchen said bloodshed amongst Nagas was wrong and such things do not contribute any good for Naga cause, instead brought miseries which still linger in the minds of the people. He added that with God’s blessing, there was peace in the state and called upon the people to contribute their best to sustain the peaceful environment with the spirit of forgive and forget. He said this while on his visit to Warangpang valley in Yaongyimsen village located on Tsüla river banks for a fishing programme. The Minister also participated in the community fishing at Tsüla river with the villagers Director for Rural Development Metsüpu who also spoke on the occasion said that he would look into the grievances of the new model village Liruyimti and also donated a sum of Rs. 5 lakhs to construct a Panchayat Hall at Yaongyimsen Compound. Others who spoke on the occasion were MLA & Chairman NIDC & NHC Nuklutoshi and other visiting officials. The programme was chaired by NIDC Manager, Bendang Longkumer, welcome speech and vote of thanks was delivered by Aliyinba, Village Council Chairman and Talichuba, Adhoc Town Community Chairman, Yaongyimsen Compound respectively. The fishing programme was attended by villagers, government officials from Changtongya Sub-division and party workers.
