Pradesh returning officer on state visit DIMAPUR: Pradesh returning officer Nagaland, H.K. Patil accompanied by Sanjay Bapna, AICC secretary in charge Nagaland would be visiting state on February 5 and would address the members of NPCC, DCC, presidents and frontal chiefs at 4pm at Congress Bhavan, Kohima. Officials would interact with senior Congress leaders at 6pm at Hotel Japfü and leave for Guwahati on February 6. Nillo Rengma, vice president NPCC has requested all PCC members, DCC presidents, frontal chiefs and responsible party workers to contact NPCC office and attend the meeting. Ehunnu and Yikhanu villages meeting DIMAPUR: Ehunnu and Yikhanu villages have convened a general public meeting on February 6 at Ehunnu village at 9.30am. All officers, government servants, student leaders and well wishers have been requested to attend the meeting. Voice recital at PCC DIMAPUR: Patkai Christian College (PCC) music department will be presenting a voice recital on January 31 at its chapel/auditorium. The recital would feature Ajeen Longchari, who completed her master’s degree in Voice Pedagogy from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary at Louisville, Kentucky USA, and her repertoire would consist of an assortment of classical, spirituals and contemporary pieces. All music enthusiasts have been requested to attend the recital. Dimapur Yanpha Ekhung meeting DIMAPUR: Dimapur Yanpha Ekhung (DYE) has convened a general meeting on January 30 at the residence of Nchumbemo Humtsoe, Duncan at 10am. All members and executive members have been requested to attend the meeting. Konyak Students’ Union meet DIMAPUR: Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) has convened a meeting for the forthcoming KSU Sports meet on February 10 at 11am at KSU office. Further, the union has congratulated Dr. S. Yingei Konyak and S. Ngampa Sangme Konyak for getting through NPSC technical examination and wished them success in their future endeavors. ABCC cleanliness drive DIMAPUR: As a part of Angami Baptist Church Council’s (ABCC) theme for the year 2010, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” the council will be organising a sanitation program covering Kohima and Dimapur districts on February 2. Sanitation Committee for ABCC has requested the public to participate in the sanitation program in their respective vicinities and areas to promote and create cleaner environment. Rev. Krutsolie Yashü passes away KOHIMA: Rev. Krutsolie Yashü passed away on Thursday night at the residence at High School colony, Kohima. Late Rev. Krutsolie Yashü was serving as Senior Pastor in Christian Revival Mission Church till his demise. He left behind his wife, three sons and two daughters. The body will be taken to the native village Dihoma, on January 30. IMFL seized from check gate KOHIMA: State Excise department Kohima district manning the check gate detected and seized a total of 660 bottles of 750 ml Rum from the possession of A. Lotha from Chukitong town under Wokha district on January 28. The accused person has been penalized under Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act 1989 and the articles deposited in the Malkhana. Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation DIMAPUR: Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation Dimapur unit (ENWOD) has convened a general meeting on February 6 at 9am at the residence of its treasurer at Mao Colony, Nagarjan Dimapur. CEST holds get together programme DIMAPUR: The Chudi Ekhung Sanis Town (CEST) held its first get together programme on December 31 at the residence of Vanphyo Jungi. According to a press note, the programme was chaired by Ramongo Tungoe, chairman Chudi Ekhung and also Benthungo Jungi, DB advised the participants not to forget their native village even if they settle in town or city also.
