Agitating employees of North East Hill University (NEHU) in Shillong have decided to suspend their agitation from February 1. The decision to suspend the agitation temporarily was taken yesterday following an apology tendered by Vice-Chancellor of the University Pramod Tandon. ‘’Considering the apology tendered by the Vice-Chancellor and good reciprocal gesture from the agitating employees, we have decided to suspend the agitation,’’ Chairman of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) SB Prasad said. The agitation may be launched as and when needed depending on the assessment of situation in near future, Prasad warned.
